Ann Elizabeth Klemme

Ann Elizabeth Klemme, 85, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born in Bellefontaine on October 27, 1923, a daughter of the late Harry W. and Elizabeth Buchenroth Messner.

On August 17, 1947, she married Raymond James Klemme in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death March 23, 1994. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, George and David Messner; and a grandson, James David George.

Survivors include three daughters, Karen (Douglas) Rosendale of Bloomdale and Beth (Keith) Huffman and Julie (David) George, both of Bellefontaine; six grandchildren, Jason Rosendale, Ivy (Jim) Fitzpatrick, Scott Huffman, Jennifer (Dustin) Mobley, and Sarah and Katie George; two great-grandchildren, Reyghan Rosendale and Aisha Patrick; two brothers, Ted (Sally) Messner of Columbus and Tom (Joanne) Messner of Nicholasville, Ky.; a sister, Marilyn (Welman) Crisler of Bellefontaine; sisters-in-law Annabella Messner and Delores Messner; and brother-in-law Ronald (Barb) Klemme.

A1941 Bellefontaine High School graduate, she graduated from Mercy Hospital in Hamilton in 1944. A registered nurse, she worked in surgery at Mary Rutan Hospital and was in charge of Second West. She also worked at CAC and Heartland of Bellefontaine and for Dr. James McGriff. She attended the Church of the Brethren and Calvary Baptist Church, both in Bellefontaine, and was a member of King�s Daughters.

Pastors Jeffory Willetts and Fred Clogg conduct the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where  visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 16.  Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church 1140 Rush Ave. Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311 and the Church of the Brethren 534 S. Detroit St. Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
