Blaine Ellwood Lamb Blaine Ellwood Lamb, 94, of Huntsville, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty, Ohio. He was born September 4, 1916 in Wood County Ohio to the late Lester and Edna (Calvert) Lamb. On September 17, 1939, he married Mabel Louise Spencer in Belle Center, Ohio and they were married sixty five years. She preceded him in death October 2, 2004. Also preceding him in death were three sisters, Opal Gehr, Pauline Countryman and Margie Garner; and his son-in-law, E. Kay Ammons. Surviving is a daughter, Sharon Ammons of Belle Center; grandchildren, Sean (Bobbi) Ammons and Michelle (Scott) Martin, both of Belle Center; great grandchildren, Kameran, Jacob, Jenna, Kayla and Ethan; and nieces and nephews, Nancy Cotter and Edna and Arthur Countryman. A 1934 Lima South High School graduate, Blaine worked as a food and drug Inspector for the Ohio Department of Agriculture. He was a member of the Belle Center United Methodist Church; the Bellefontaine Free and Accepted Masons # 209 (formerly the Belle Center Masonic Lodge) and was a former member of the Belle Center School Board. Rev. Kevin Smith will conduct the funeral service at 2 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center Thursday, May 5, 2011, where calling hours are from noon to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
