Bob Lee Barthauer

Bob Lee Barthauer, 79, of DeGraff, Ohio, passed away at 11:55 A.M. Saturday, December 4, 2010, at the Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio. He was born in Logan County, Ohio, July 25, 1931, to the late Lee and Alta Kress Barthauer. On December 18, 1950 he married his wife of nearly sixty years, Ruby Frances Ceylor in DeGraff, and she survives. 

A member of the Ohio Auctioneers Association, Bob and his wife were the owners and operators of Barthauers' Auction Service. 

Survivors include; sons, Mike (Joyce) Barthauer of DeGraff and Kevin (Debby) Barthauer of West Liberty, Ohio; daughters; Karen (Gary) Meyers of Republic, Ohio, Rita (Steve) Strayer of DeGraff, and Missy (Robb) Cummins of Bellefontaine, Ohio; grandchildren; Jennie (Bart) Rogers of Sidney, Ohio, Jeremy (Lynda) Barthauer of Quincy, Ohio, Amy (Chad) Newland of Bellefontaine, Kristy Evilsizor of Huntsville, Ohio, Mindy (Carlos) Cioffi of Bellefontaine, Jeff (Brandi) Wren of DeGraff, Matthew (Kaitlin) Strayer of Wooster, Ohio, Michael (Rachelle Bargerstock) Strayer of Canton, Ohio, Angie (Chris) Cummins-Boyd of Fishers, Indiana, Brad (Jacey) Cummins of Bellefontaine and Kevin Marvin Barthauer; great grandchildren, Zach and Seth Rogers of Sidney, Levi and Justin Barthauer of Quincy, Trevor and Katie Newland of Belle Center, Ohio, Mason and Morgan Evilsizor of Huntsville, Kaylee Wren, Micah and Dylan Laber of Bellefontaine, Jeffery, Jr., Hayden and Collin Wren of DeGraff, Teagan Boyd of Fishers, Indiana, and Kayla and Kolton Cummins of Bellefontaine; great-great grandchildren, Zandynn and Zavier Wren of Bellefontaine; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters; Mary (Francie) Ware, Mable Thornton and Helen Miller; and a brother Roger Barthauer. 

Pastor Bill Halter will conduct the funeral service at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at the Quincy United Methodist Church. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2010, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the church. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.
