Boyd E. Bradford Jr.

Boyd E. Bradford Jr., 75, of Rushsylvania, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born November 22, 1933 in DeGraff, Ohio, to the late Boyd Edwin Sr. and Louie Marie (Chandler) Bradford.

On September 6, 1956 he married Janice Buffenbarger in Rushsylvania, and she survives along with their daughters, Stephanie F. and Holly Bradford, both of Rushsylvania; special foster daughter, Betty Jo (Tom) Reffett and children, Jesse and Jackie; brothers, Darrel (Kathy) Bradford of Rushsylvania; sisters, Mary Clark of California, Martha (Arthur) Metz of Zanesfield, Ohio, Eilene (Jim) Everhardt of Elida and Patty Everhardt of Georgia; and a granddaughter, Hilery Marie Reese, who is due to have the first great grandchild, Aiden Michael Edwin, in January; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Boyd was employed at the Super Foods Warehouse in Bellefontaine and worked his way up to Supervisor, then retired after 40 years of service.

An Army veteran, he was a member of the Ridgeway Church of Christ and graduated in 1953 from the Rushsylvania High School. An avid Ohio State fan, he loved all sports and enjoyed reading and playing golf.

Boyd was a good husband, father and grandfather who loved his family very much. He was a great source of strength to the family and all he knew.

Calling hours are Sunday, November 8, 2009, from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Rushsylvania.  The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 9, 2009, at the Ridgeway Church of Christ, with Pastor Corey Savage officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center, Ohio.
