Charles Albert Cane
Charles Albert Cane, 48, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at his residence Friday, February 4, 2011. He was born April 12, 1962 in Bellefontaine, to the late Oscar Lee and Wanda May (Harper) Cane. He is survived by his fianc� Poppy Dickinson of Bellefontaine; two sons, Charles L. Cane of Bellefontaine and Brandon Lee Cane of Pittsburg; brothers, Gil (Kathryn) Wall of Aurora, Colorado, Oscar Lee Jr., Carl and Roscoe Smiley all of Detroit, Michigan; sisters, Deborah Gorham and Cassie (Mike) Hassel both of Bellefontaine, Gwindala Cane of Columbus, Ohio, Alison Brenner and Terry (Jeff) Hassel-Smith both of Bellefontaine, Paula, Alenda and Loretta Lee Cane all of Detroit, Michigan, Diane Frazier-Shearer of Huntsville, Ohio, and Diane Freeman of Lima, Ohio; a grandchild, Payton Cane of Columbus, Georgia; two aunts, Betty Totty of Lima, Ohio, and Jean Rogan of Bellefontaine; one uncle, Tom Cane of Bellefontaine; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, He was baptized at the Second Baptist Church in Boulder, Colorado. He taught martial arts in Pittsburg, enjoyed bike riding and just completed a bike marathon. He loved helping friends and neighbors. Pastor Settle Townsend will officiate a 2:00 P.M. memorial service Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Auburn Avenue Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, where the family will received friends one hour prior to service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. |
