Charlotte M. Caldwell

Charlotte M. Caldwell, 78, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 6:53 A.M. Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. She was born April 12, 1932 in Logan County, Ohio to the late James C. and Anna Belle Thoman Grimes. On December 21, 1956 she married Calvin M. Caldwell and he survives. 

Additional survivors include; a daughter, Linda Kay (Lavoy) Thompson of North Lewisburg, Ohio; a son, Curtis Neal (Mary Beth) Caldwell of Springfield, Illinois; a sister, Kathleen (Bill) Smith of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; two granddaughters, Rachel Caldwell and Courtney Caldwell, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Neal Grimes. 

She retired from Bellefontaine City Schools after teaching for thirty years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine, where she was active in the Priscilla Circle. Charlotte was a Past Matron of Bellefontaine Chapter # 459 O.E.S., a member of the Logan County Retired Teacher Association, Kings Daughters and formerly served on the Board of DD. She loved to play bridge and her grandchildren were the light of her life. 

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Calling hours are Tuesday, October 19, 2010, from 1 to 3 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home where a O.E.S. service will be held at 8 P.M. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.

The funeral arrangements were handled by the staff at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
