Clara Louise Kerns

Clara Louise Kerns, 76, of Belle Center, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in her residence.    She was born May 9, 1934 in Hancock County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Howard and Nellie (Richard) Buchanan.

She is survived by her husband Robert �Gene� Kerns, whom she married July 20, 1963 in Deshler, Ohio, two daughters, Helen (Greg) Norris of Rushsylvania, Ohio, Lisa (Dan) Foulk of Belle Center, her son, Matthew Kerns of Washington State, seven grandchildren, Lucretia (Tom) Grogan, Gregory �Jamie� Norris, Gerald �Gary� Norris, Emily Foulk, Danny �D.C.� Foulk, Dakota �Cody� Kerns, Douglas Kerns, a brother-in-law, George Shade of New Washington, OH and sister-in-law, Margie Buchanan of North Baltimore, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Douglas Buchanan, and two sisters, Carol Sue Hutchins and Mary Ellen Shade, and a granddaughter, Ashley Marie Kerns.

She was a member of the Belle Center United Church of Christ and a graduate of Manchester College in Manchester, Indiana. She taught music at Huntsville and Belle Center schools. 

The funeral service will be held Friday June 4, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center with Pastors Dean Wasson and David Hawthorne officiating. Calling hours will be Thursday June 3, 2010, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center, Ohio. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer�s Association, Loving Hands, or Universal Home Health and Hospice.
