Courtney Rashel Schienda
Courtney, 15, one of our precious miracle girls, was taken home by our dear Lord, Monday, January 3, 2011. She began her walk on the streets of gold with Jesus and those family members that have went before her. Courtney and her twin sister, Kiersten, who survives, our precious gifts from God, were born in Columbus, Ohio October 25, 1995 to James A. and Holly D. (Schneider) Schienda whom survive in DeGraff, Ohio. Also surviving are her grandparents, Dan and Loretta LeVan, John and Linda Schienda, and Don and Carla Schneider; aunts and uncles, Scott and Tammy Schneider, godparents, Keith and Shellie Knupp, Dean and Pam Schneider, Shawn and Michelle Harrington, Terry Schienda and Danny Ray LeVan ; and many cousins and close friends. Her favorite person in the whole world was her Grammy, Linda Schienda. She will be missed by her special friends, Dylan and Brendee. A member of Urbana Freewill Baptist Church, she represented and placed third in a National Christian Art Competition. She also attended Christ Our King Church in Bellefontaine. Courtney, who was very smart and loved to share her knowledge and interest, was a freshman at Benjamin Logan High School where she was a member of the Spanish Club as well as the Robotics Club, where her father was a mentor for the team. She played for the Rushsylvania Girl Softball team as a catcher like her cousin, Denay Schneider. An OSU fan, she enjoyed writing and drawing. She also enjoyed fishing and hunting with her father and was an accomplished youth deer hunter and shot an 8 point buck with a muzzleloader. Courtney dream was to be an electrical engineer. Pastors A.W. Purdin and Grant Cordell will officiate the 10:30 A.M. funeral service Friday, January 7, 2011 at Christ Our King Church in Bellefontaine, where friends may call from 1 to 3 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, January 6, 2011. Burial will be in the Rushsylvania Cemetery. In memory of Courtney, the family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to the Robotics Club %Benjamin Logan High School 6609 SR 47 Bellefontaine, OH 43311 or to the family. The staff at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements. |
