| Darwin H. Crofut Darwin H. Crofut, 94, of Huntsville, Ohio, passed away at his residence Monday, September 13, 2010. He was born May 4, 1916 in Massillon, Ohio, to the late Harry and Emma (Fischer) Crofut. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Ruffner. On October 23, 1940 he married O. Pearl Inglish in Antrim, Ohio, and she survives along with their son, Gary (Susie) Crofut of Tavares, Florida and their daughter, Carol Crofut of Grove City, Ohio; two grandchildren, Kimberly (Mike) Ryan of Redondo Beach, Calfornia, and Kevin (Lacie) Crofut of Richwood, Ohio, and two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Bethany Crofut. In 1941, Darwin moved from Londonderry, Ohio to Huntsville and purchased the Huntsville Grain Company and later named it Crofut Grain and Feed Company. After operating that for sixteen and one half years, he later operated the Crofut Barber and Beauty Supply. In his retirement, he and his wife spent sixteen autumns and winters at their cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and entertained family and friends with snowmobiling and ice fishing, both of which he was very fond. He was also well-known as a highly successful bear hunter. He was a member of the Huntsville Presbyterian Church, where he had served as a trustee. He was a 50-year member of the Bellefontaine Masonic Lodge. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, September 16, 2010, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine with Rev. Ben Beres and Rev. Russell Williams officiating. Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the funeral home from 4 to 6 P.M. Burial will be in Londonderry Cemetery, near Cambridge, Ohio.
