David L. Young, 78, of Russells Point, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010 in his daughter�s home in Lewistown, Ohio. He was born September 11, 1932 in Mansfield, Ohio, the son of the late Roscoe and Marie (Burkholter) Young. David was also preceded in death by a son, Markle Young in 1979, a brother Richard Young, two sisters, Eleanor Young and Margert Belcher, a grandchild, April Dunn and a great grandchild, Jeffrey Young.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Horne) Young, four daughters; Debbie (Billy) King of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Shirley Young of Lakeview, Ohio, Loretta Young of Bellefontaine, and Sherry (Shawn) Griffith of Lewistown; two brothers, Carl (Sharon) Young and Fred Young; two sisters, Martha Green and Marilyn (Dean) Marks, and grandchildren, William King, Thomas King, Jeffery (Shandra) Young, Tony Young, and Jamie Young and great grandchildren, Destiny Young, Ashley King and Alexis King.

He was an United States Army Veteran and worked as a mechanic. He belonged to the Eagles and enjoyed golf and football. He formerly raced dirt track and enjoyed NASCAR and stock car racing.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine with Pastor Ray Headings officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio, with military honors provided by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard. Calling hours will be Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
