Dean Martin Ballard

Dean Martin Ballard, 41, of Marysville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at St. Rita�s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. He was born May 2, 1969 in Piqua, Ohio to Donald E. Ballard Sr. of Greenville, Ohio, and Bonnie J. (Floss) Ball of Marysville.

Also surviving is his step-father, Frank Ball of Marysville; his wife, Gretchen (Bristol) Ballard and their children, Tyler, Tayler, Chynna and Kylie Ballard all of Arizona; a brother, Donald (Brenda) Ballard Jr. of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Tamara Burchiel of Piqua; step-brothers, Franklin (Jodie) Ball Jr. of Piqua, John (Amber) Ball of Piqua, Joe Ball of Columbus, Ohio, and Daniel (Cary) Ball of Piqua; step-sisters, Jaynie (Dean) White of South Carolina, Lori (Bill) Villars of Plain City, Ohio, Kelly (Bryan) Gill of Greenville, Ohio, Stephanie (Doug) Hardman of East Liberty, Ohio; Amy Clark of Marysville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many special friends. He was preceded in death by brothers, Timothy and Mark Ballard.

Dean was an award winning certified welder in Ohio and Florida and was a self employed mechanic for many years.

He attended schools in Piqua and Bellefontaine and enjoyed gardening, fishing, crossword puzzles, reading and especially spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed building and repairing things and loved his dog, Penny.  Dean is much loved and will be forever missed.

Pastor Joe Berry will conduct the funeral service at 12:00 noon Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where friends may call from 10 A.M. to noon prior to the service. There will be a private family burial in the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
