| Dolores I. Marmon Dolores I. Marmon, 94, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty. She was born March 25, 1916 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the daughter of the late George Washington and Bertha Mae Tillman Marmon. On September 12, 1937, she married Byron C. Marmon in Logan County, Ohio, and he preceded her in death November 27, 1979. Dolores is survived by sons John F. (Fontella) Marmon of West Liberty, Richard W. (Janice) Marmon of Bradenton, Florida; a daughter, Marilyn R. (Larry) Sparks of Virginia; sisters Georgia Kensler of Virginia and Gloria Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania; twelve grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Robert C. Marmon, a brother, a sister and a grandson. Dolores was a devoted homemaker, a graduate of Zanesfield High School, and for over fifty years she was a member of First Friends Church in Bellefontaine, where she taught Sunday school classes. In recent years, she changed her church membership to the Grace Chapel in West Liberty. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, quilting and reading and loved being with her family. Calling hours are from 4 to 6 P.M. Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty, where Pastor Mike Eckstein will conduct the funeral service at 11 A.M. Wednesday, December 8, 2010, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty. |
