| Donald Max Garman Donald Max Garman, 83, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Dayton Veterans Administration Hospital. He was born on August 31, 1925 to the late Ora Allan & Mabel Wilgus Garman in Bellefontaine, Ohio. On January 28, 1950 in Bellefontaine, he married Irene Simmons Garman and she survives along with a son, Doug (Janice) Garman of Bowling Green, Ohio; daughter, Connie J. (Nick) Reynolds of West Liberty; sister, DeVelva �Dee� Graves of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Seth Reynolds, Kyle & Sarah Garman, & Tayanna (Lance) Cusic and one great grandchild, Gianna Cusic. He is preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Garman and grandson, Ryan Reynolds. He worked for Miller Meteor in Bellefontaine in the 1950�s and owned and operated Max�s Barber Shop in West Liberty from 1959 to 1990. He currently worked as a driver for Steve Austin�s Auto Group in Bellefontaine. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine and a 1943 Bellefontaine High School of graduate. A WWII Army veteran, he was wounded after the Normandy Invasion in Breast France, where he received the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Kenton Purple Heart Club, Harold Kerr Post of the American Legion #173 and a life member of the Frank D. Castle V.F.W. Post #1080 both in Bellefontaine. He was a member of the Veterans Administration Commission of Logan County, the Logan County Farm Bureau, Madriver Masonic Lodge in West Liberty and a former member West Liberty Lions Club. Pastor Ed Beale will conduct the funeral service at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are Friday, November 21, from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, with military honors provided by the Logan County Honor Guard.
