Donelda Christine Rhoads

Donelda Christine Rhoads, age 82, of DeGraff, Ohio, passed away in her home Tuesday evening May 25, 2010, following a brief illness. She was born September 12, 1927 in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Vernon Melville and Marjorie Christine (Henderson) Smith. On June 30, 1944, she married Frank Curlis Rhoads, who preceded her in death June 30, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her son Terry Van Rhoads, grandson Christopher Lee Rhoads, daughter-in-law Linda Lee Rhoads and grandson-in-law Michael LeValley. 

Survivors include her sons, Roger G. Rhoads and Steven L. (Linda) Rhoads both of DeGraff; a daughter-in-law, Donna J. Rhoads of Lakeview, Ohio; brothers, Robert N. Smith of London, Ohio and Keith L. (BJ) Smith of Urbana, Ohio; grandchildren, Kimberly (Carl Tackett) Rhoads of Lakeview, Brandy (Tony) Evans of Russells Point, Ohio, Bill (Cindy) Rhoads and Jeremy Rhoads both of DeGraff, Jill (Chris Gilliam) LeValley of Springfield, Terry Rhoads and Mark (Debi) Rhoads both of Pheonix, Arizona. Her beloved great grandchildren were her pride and joy in the later years and they are Charlita Rhoads, Jessica Evans, Logan Evans, Cierra Rhoads, Brody Rhoads, Desmond Woods-Rhoads, Jesse James LeValley, Dana Rhoads, Luke Rhoads and Trinity Rhoads. 

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 4, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.

Memorial contributions may be made to Universal Home Health & Hospice Care or the American Cancer Society.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the staff at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty.
