Emma Jean Shaw

Emma Jean Shaw, 78, formerly of Rushsylvania, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010 at her residence in Buckeye, Arizona. She was born August 10, 1931 in Canton, Ohio, to the late Edgar Ivan and Edith Adelaide (Spaulding) Jones.

On June 11, 1954, she married Robert Nelson Shaw in Marion, Ohio, and he preceded her in death November 4, 2003.  Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Walter and Marion Jones, sisters, Elizabeth Mae (Carl) Schumaker, Patricia Ann (Bill) Goodman and Shirley Louise (Fred) Rhinebolt and three grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons, Gloyd Nelson (Becky) Shaw of DeGraff, Ohio, Robert William (Kelly) Shaw of Rushsylvania and Thomas Eugene (Lynda) Shaw of Buckeye, AZ; two daughters, Mary Martha (Bill) McKinney of Buckeye, AZ and Tamara Sue (Dennis) Koster of Goodyear, Arizone; a brother, Frank Albert Jones of Marion, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Belle (Charles) Saunders of Marion and Mildred Orria (Richard) Hines of Marengo, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Emma was a 1949 graduate of Cardington High School and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She enjoyed crocheting and reading her Bible. In the 1970�s she worked for the Plaza Inn at Mt. Victory, Ohio.

Calling hours are Monday, June 7, 2010, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center, Ohio, and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Pastor Jeffory Willetts, Pastor David Kipper and Pastor Tim Pasma will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.

The staff at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center assisted the family with arrangements.
