Frances Louise Davis Mills

Frances Louise Davis Mills, 88, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2009, at Heartland of Bellefontaine. She was born on August 3, 1921, in Belle Center, Ohio, to the late Clinton and Minnie (Grow) Davis. 

On May 16, 1947 the Rev. V.A. Chesterman, of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine, married her and Don E. Mills and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1998.  Also preceding her in death on February 19, 2007, was their daughter, Carol L. Reames; her brothers, William C., John F., Robert L. and Virgil L. Davis; and sisters, Pauline E. Davis, Ethel �Kate� Palmer and Betty J. Rice Dytom.

Surviving are her brothers, Raymond V. �Curly� Davis of Bellefontaine, and George E. Davis of Waynesfield, Ohio; a sister, Shirley (Valaire) DeCook of South Bend, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Mercedes Ruth Davis of Lakeview, Ohio; a grandson, Joseph (Melanie) Adrian Reames of Bellefontaine; a great grandson, Orion Lee Reames; and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A homemaker, Frances enjoyed painting pictures on canvas and wood paneling and also doing crafts and writing poetry. She especially loved being with her family and enjoyed playing with her great grandson.

Pastors Kerry Snapp and Floyd Lundy will conduct the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 28, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours will be on Thursday, August 27, 2009, from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
