Freda M. Burton, 99, of West Liberty, Ohio, formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 6:05 A.M. Friday, March 4, 2011, at the Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty. She was born in Logan County Ohio December 23, 1911, a daughter of the late Fenton and Lois (Titus) Smith. 

She was married to Lloyd C. �Tom� Burton September 23, 1934, and he preceded her in death February 4, 1969. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Don Smith and a sister, Helen Chambers. 

She is survived by sons, Terence Edward Burton of West Liberty and Fred (Susan) Burton of Bellefontaine; a sister, Irma Clingerman of West Liberty; one brother, Carroll �Budd� (Darlene) Smith of Florida; three grandchildren, Andy (Laura) Burton of Bellefontaine, Jim (Lisa) Burton of Powell, Ohio, Steve (Susie) Burton of Germanton, Ohio, and four great grandchildren, Nick, Connor, Anna, Carly and Ben. 

She graduated in 1929 from Belle Center High School and was formerly employed at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. She was also a member of the First Christian Church, a former Deaconess and member of the Pilot Class and Rebekah Circle. 

Gene Marine will conduct a graveside service at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 8, 2011, in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.

The funeral arrangements were handled by the staff at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
