Gail Annette McKirahan, 71, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born July 13, 1939 in Ironton, Ohio, to the late Rev. Henry M. and Clara (Crown) Lynd. 

On May 11, 1957 she married Larry Jay McKirahan Sr. and he preceded her in death March 29, 1981. She also was preceded in death by grandson Deric Downing, June 4, 2004. 

Surviving are her children, Theresa Harris of Mt. Victory, Ohio, Toni (David) Downing of Bellefontaine, Larry (Sandy) McKirahan of Rushsylvania, Ohio, and Donna (Tom) Insley of Alpharetta, Georgia; a brother, Bill (Cindy) Lynd of Wilmington, Ohio; sisters, Pat (Charles) Null of Austin, Texas, Lynda Haskins of Middletown, Ohio, and Peg (Terry) Riley of Bellefontaine; and grandchildren, Joel and Ty Acheson, Dylan Downing, Brittany, Jayme and Landon McKirahan, and Jessica Thompson. 

A 1957 Belle Center High School graduate, Gail was a member of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church. 

There will be a private family service with Rev. Jay Geissinger officiating and interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.

The staff at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center assisted the family with the arrangements.
