H. Marvin Stanley

H. Marvin Stanley, 95, of West Liberty, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 24, 2009.

Marvin was born on May 8, 1913, son the late Walter and Elta Coover Stanley near West Liberty, Ohio. He was married on July 20, 1941, to Myrna Anne Miller for 67 years and she survives. They are the parents of a son, Norman (Carol) Stanley of West Liberty and a daughter, Darlene (Brady) Cassidy of Wooster, Ohio. Very dear to his heart were his 2 foster daughters, Pat Eubanks of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Jeri (Jim) Segura of Beaumont, Texas, and their five grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Anna Jane Stanley of Huntington, Indiana; 7 grandchildren, Tina (Dean) Helton of Cape Coral, Florida, Shannon (Scott) Maier of Bellefontaine, Andrea (Gary) Keener of New Carlisle, Ohio, Devon (Tracie) Stanley of Plain City, Ohio, Tammy Cassidy of Rittman, Ohio, Beverly (Roger) Stark of Marshallville, Ohio, and Brenda Cassidy of Orrville, Ohio. He was a loving grandfather to ten great grandchildren. 2 brothers, James D. and Wendell W. Stanley preceded him in death.

A member of the Union Chapel Community Church, Marvin graduated from DeGraff High School in 1931. He was a farmer, carpenter and a retiree from OM Scott�s in Marysville, Ohio.  He loved singing in quartets and sang in six quartets during his lifetime. 

Calling hours are from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty on Friday, February 27, 2009. Pastor David Hernandez will conduct the funeral service at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at the Union Chapel Community Church in West Liberty. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
