| Harold E. Hostetler
Harold E. Hostetler, 89, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away at 10:00 P.M. Saturday, May 8, 2010 in his home. He was born in Champaign County, Ohio November 9, 1920, to the late Stephen and Mamie Byler Hostetler. A 1938 graduate of Salem Local School, he was a World War II Air Force Veteran serving from May 1942, to November 1945. Following his military service, he worked for forty one years as a parts manager for the International Harvester dealership in Plain City, Ohio. He enjoyed flying airplanes, restoring tractors, hunting, mushroom hunting and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Survivors include five sisters; Eileen Botkin of West Liberty, Ruth (Richard) Craig of Angola, Indiana, Ella Mae (Lowell) Kauffman of West Liberty, Rose Smith of Columbus, Ohio, and Nellie (Richard) Lindemer of West Liberty; a brother, Paul (Linda) Hostetler of West Liberty; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Hostetler and Pauline Towles; and a brother, Earl Hostetler. Calling hours are Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 4 to 6 P.M. at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty. A private burial will take place in the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee for Haiti P.O. Box 500 Akron, PA 17501-4676 The funeral arrangements were handled by the staff at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty.
