Herbert E. Foreman

Herbert E. Foreman, 81, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 01, 2009, at his residence. He was born on April 25, 1928 in Logan County, Ohio to the late George Guy and Mary May (Hudson) Foreman.

On January 31, 1950, he married Phyllis M. Hudson in Angola, Indiana, and she survives along with their children, Stephen (Kaylee) Foreman of West Liberty, William (Mary) Foreman and Pam (Bart) Floyd, both of Bellefontaine, Ohio; a sister, Shirley Turner of Delray Beach, Florida; a sister-in-law, Patricia (Warren) Bates of Lima, Ohio; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was a brother, George Foreman; three sisters, Mary L. Tarnawa, Martha Leech, and Sara Wolfe; and a great grandson, Cody Laird.

He proudly served his country in the First Army Calvary Occupation Forces during World War II in Japan. He attended Miami University and Bowling Green University.  A farmer most of his life in Logan County, he retired from the Logan County Co-Operative Power and Light after 36 years of service.

He was a long time manager and coach for the Youth Baseball in Zanesfield, Ohio, and was a member of the B.P.O.E. #132 for 25 years and held a position on the GISOC Board of Directors for many years.

Calling hours are from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Pastor John James will conduct a private graveside service at a later date.
