Ida Mae Murphy, 92, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at the Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. She was born in Logan County July 3, 1917, to the late Lewis and Mary (Austin) Houchin.

On April 5, 1946, she married Arthur Vernon Murphy in Columbus, Ohio, and he preceded her in death September 26, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Harold, Forest �Spec�, and Robert Houchin, and a sister, Ardis Diener.

Surviving are three half-brothers, Gerald Houchin of Belle Center, Ohio, Donald Houchin, Sr. of Mt. Victory, Ohio, and Mike Murphy of Texas; a sister, Leila Means of Boynton Beach, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

Ida Mae retired from D.A.B. in Bellefontaine, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, with Pastor Greg Haisley officiating.

The staff at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
