Ivan Q. Daniels

Ivan Q. Daniels, 91, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. He was born December 11, 1918 in Knoxville, Kentucky to the late John and Anna Belle (Lowe) Daniels.

On September 22, 1940, he married Frances Kinney in Burlington, Kentucky, and she preceded him in death November 28, 2004. Also preceding him in death was a son, Gary E. Daniels; brothers, Charles, Marion, Harold and William Daniels; and sisters, Lola Taylor and Shirley Sargent.

Surviving is a daughter, Kim (David) Rogers of Bellefontaine and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Daniels of Thurmont, Maryland; six grandchildren, Brandy and Bridget Rogers, Barbie (Matt) Hood, David Rogers II, and Matt and Jamie Kerns, and eight great-great grandchildren.

In 1936 he started the Daniel�s Music Company in Bellefontaine.

A member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine, he was a life member of the Bellefontaine B.P.O.E #132 for fifty one years; Free and Accepted Masons Bellefontaine Lodge # 209; Grand Council Royal & Select Masons of Ohio, Logan Council #85, Super Excellent Master; Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, Lafayette Chapter #60; Bellefontaine Commandery #61 Knights Templar; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Dayton, Ohio; Antioch Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, Dayton, Ohio; Logan County Shrine Club; Logan County 32� Club; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, the Eastern Star, Kentucky Colonels, Moose Lodge, and the V.F.W. Post #1080 of Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Calling hours are Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. A Masonic Service will be held at 7:45 P.M. Pastor Casey Storm will conduct the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center, Ohio.
