Jack R. Beatley

Jack R. Beatley, 77, of Russells Point, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010, at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born September 25, 1932 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, to the late Jack R. and Lillian Jane (Krouskop) Beatley.

On October 18, 1953 he married Patricia Jo Anne �Jo� Tallman in Russells Point, Ohio, and she preceded him in death May 14, 1993.

Surviving is his second wife, Pat (Ransome) Kyle Beatley, whom he married in St. Thomas June 13, 1995. Also surviving are his sons, Jack K. and Brad J. Beatley both of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Kelly (Robinson) Kurth of Sumatra, Indonesia; step-sons, Dane Kyle of Richwood, Ohio, and Kenyon (Beth) Kyle of Bonita Springs, Florida; and seven grandchildren.

Jack was the former owner of Beatley�s on the Beach in Russells Point, Ohio, and is the current owner of Holiday Harbor Mobile Home Community in Russells Point. On October 17, 1953, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged June 16, 1955. 

A member of the First United Methodist Church in Richwood, Ohio, he was a 51 year member of the Indian Lake Lodge #722 Free & Accepted Masons, and a 32nd. degree Mason of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton, Ohio. He also was a member of the Indian Lake Antique Boat Club, the Sunnyland Antique Boat Club in Mt. Dora, Florida, the Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce, and the DARTS & TORCS Model Airplane Club. Jack was an avid boater and fisherman and was a Water Safety Instructor for Logan County.

Calling hours will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Sunday, April 18,  2010, from 2 to 6 P.M. with a Masonic Service at 5:30 P.M. Pastor Joe Rhea will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 19, 2010, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio, with Military Honors by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
