Jay W. Randall

Jay W. Randall, 75, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. He was born November 8, 1935 in Franklin County, Ohio, to the late George H. and Lolita (Neuenschwander) Randall.

On March 21, 1957, he married Anna Belle Smith in Kingscreek, Ohio, and she preceded him in death December 27, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, John, Howard and Harold Randall. 

On June 11, 2002 he married Martha (Wheeler) Boyle in San Antonio, Texas, and she survives. Also surviving is a son, Jason J. Randall of Hillsboro, Ohio; daughters, Jennifer K. (Jeff) Hodge of West Mansfield, Ohio, and Suzanna M. (Jim) Dodds of Bellefontaine; step-sons, Paul (Angie) Boyle, Bryan (Carole) Boyle and Marc (Heather) Boyle; a step daughter, Leslie Boyle; six grandchildren, four step grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Jay retired from International Harvester as an assembler. He was a United States Army veteran, attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, was a member of the American Legion in Belle Center and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. A Cincinnati Reds and an Ohio State Buckeye Fan, Jay enjoyed all sports. He was a golfer, bowler, enjoyed woodworking, traveling, auto racing and the gathering of the Eagle Radio Club. He also went to horse shows with his family.

Calling hours are Monday, June 6, 2011, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center. The 10:00 A.M. funeral service will be at the funeral home Tuesday, June 7, 2011, with Pastor Jeffory Willetts officiating. Interment will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio, with Military Honors by the Logan County Honor Guard.
