Juanita Irene Linville

Juanita Irene Linville, 98, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 14, 2011, at her residence. She was born August 7, 1912 in Bellefontaine, to the late Foreman and Grace (Hutchinson) Prater.  

On August 1, 1935, she married Roy H. Linville in Dayton, Ohio and he preceded her in death April 2, 2001. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Marie Curry. 

Surviving is a son, Lee R. (Martha) Linville of Bellefontaine; a daughter, Joyce Irene (Gary) Lees of San Tan Valley, Arizona; a sister, Rebecca Kreglow of Conover, Ohio; grandchildren, Greg and David Linville, Scotty and Kevin Lees and Bonnie Marotti; and several great grandchildren. 

Juanita graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1930, and was a graduate of the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in 1934. A registered nurse, she worked for Mercy Hospital in Urbana, Ohio and Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. A member of the United Methodist Church since 1927, she was Past President of the United Methodist Women's Association and a charter member of the Aimwell Class. She was also a member of the Eastern Star for over seventy years, Mary Rutan Hospital Guild, Deborah Circle and several Bridge clubs. She also enjoyed traveling and fishing. 

The staff at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Knowlton Library Service for the Blind  220 N.
