Lucy Rose

Lucy Rose, 93, of Belle Center, Ohio, went to be with her Lord February 23, 2011. She was born October 14, 1917 in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Darlton and Chrystal Cline. She married Harold Rose October 29, 1938, and he passed away August 20, 1985. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Carolyn Ann, her sister Charlotte Borradaile, one nephew and two nieces.

She is survived by sons David (Jean) Rose, Jon (Carolyn) Rose, both of Belle Center; five grandchildren, Jeff (Rose) Rose, Lori Rose, Pam (Mike) Elson, all of Belle Center, Cheryl (Dan) Lightle of Anna, Ohio and Tracy (Bill) Crissman of Jacksonville, Florida; seven great grandchildren, Jenny (Justin) Capper of Tampa, Florida, Nickole Crissman of Jacksonville, Florida, Kyle Rose, Eric and Danny Elson, of Belle Center, Abby Lightle of Anna, Ohio and Brandon (Rachel) Lightle of Sidney, Ohio; and four great great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alyssa and Lindsey Capper and Eli Lightle.

Lucy was a 1935 graduate of Belle Center High School and a graduate of Columbus Business School. She was a long time active member of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church.

Lucy started working for Bulldog Electric in 1951, retiring in 1981 and held a position of Union Steward at Bulldog. She was a member of the Logan County Genealogy Society holding the office of Treasurer. She was also a member of the Hardin County Genealogy Society.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending family gatherings, rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes, gardening, traveling, bird watching and her pets.

Lucy�s body was donated to the Ohio State University College of Anatomy per her request.

A celebration of life will be held at the United Presbyterian Church in Belle Center March 6, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Kathy Clark officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to: Belle Center United Presbyterian Church Youth Fellowship  202 Walnut Street  Belle Center, OH 43310-9778 or the Logan County Humane Society  2521 US Highway 68 N  Bellefontaine, OH 43311-9379

The staff at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center assisted the family with arrangements.
