| Mary Alice Slonecker Mary Alice Slonecker, 74, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, graduated life Sunday, October 19, 2008, at the Green Hills Retirement Community in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born in Bloom Center, Ohio, on July 11, 1934, a daughter of the late Fred J. and Lylah Rostofer Smith. On March 22, 1953, she married Max Slonecker at Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, California, and he died December 5, 2001. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Shari Slonecker Bellamy; and a brother, Richard Smith. Survivors include a daughter, Tracy Franck of Bellefontaine; sister, Christine Wilcox of Bellefontaine; her �second daughter,� Marie (Mark) Baughman of DeGraff, Ohio; favorite niece, Nancy (Jeff) Kauffman of Bellefontaine; and grandchild, John Franck of Bellefontaine. A homemaker, she loved spending time traveling the country with her husband in their motor home. In 1973, she moved with her husband to Naples, Florida, to start a business where she worked by his side. She lived in Florida nearly 20 years before returning to Bellefontaine in January 1993. Chaplain Phillip K. Chilcote conducts a memorial service at 6 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2008, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling is one hour prior to the service. Burial is in the Highland Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice Care, 915 W.
