Mary E. Cummings

Mary E. Cummings, 75, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 19, 2010, in the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Paintsville, Kentucky August 20, 1934, the daughter of the late Frank and Margarett (Hammond) Brugh. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Leslie Ginn in 1985, her second husband, Eugene Cummings in 2004, a son, Mike Ginn in 2003, and her two brothers, Raymond and Lacy Brugh.

She is survived by two sons, Gene (Angie) Ginn and Thomas (Doris) Ginn, both of Bellefontaine; three daughters, Margaret (Oral) Prater, of Bellefontaine, Janie (Gary) Payne of Bellefontaine, and Teresa (Jack) Watts of Lakeview, Ohio; three brothers, Walter (Nancy) Brugh of Paintsville, Kentucky, Robert (JoAnn) Brugh of Cable, Ohio, and William Brugh of Urbana, Ohio; five sisters, Lucy (Luther) Smith of Springfield, Ohio, Betty (Myron) Smith of Kennard, Ohio, Delma (Robert) Bell of Delaware, Ohio, Barbara (Jon) Marquis of Spring Hills, Ohio, and Patsy (Tim Gray) Hoffer of New Hampshire, Ohio; twenty grandchildren, and twenty two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a homemaker and later worked as a caregiver. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Bellefontaine and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, with Bro. A.W. Purdin officiating, where calling hours are Tuesday March 23, 2010, from 5 to 8 P.M. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
