Mary E. Detweiler, 94, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Thursday evening, June 2, 2011 at the Green Hills Center in West Liberty. Mary was born in Logan County, Ohio September 6, 1916, to the late Robert and Molly Caldwell Smith. 

Mary is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She married Joe E. Detweiler November 1, 1933 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, and he preceded her in death August 22, 2000. Mary was a veteran of the United States Army, 127^th WAC Hospital Company. She worked as a book keeper and was a member of the West Liberty Presbyterian Church. Mary was very proud of her time in the military and enjoyed reading. She and Joe spent the majority of their life living in Florida, before returning to Logan County in the 1990�s.

Pastor Cheryl Siegenthaler will conduct a graveside service Friday, June 10, 2011, at 2 P.M. at the New Philadelphia Cemetery between West Liberty and DeGraff, Ohio.
