Mary Elizabeth Berry

Mary Elizabeth Berry, 86, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born to the late John & Golda (Patterson) Rutherford on January 6, 1923 in McArthur Twp. Logan County, Ohio. 

On March 26, 1955, she married Russell E. �Gene� Berry in Huntsville, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2008. Also preceding her in death are 2 brothers, J. Melville and J. Lowell Rutherford, and 1 sister, Dorothy Ace.

Mary is survived by 2 sons, John (Elaine) Berry of Bellefontaine, and David (Diana) Berry of Charlottesville, Virginia; 1 daughter, Maryann Metzger of Ann Arbor, Michigan; 6 grandchildren, Gina (David) Tighe, Kevin Berry, Lauren Metzger and Peter, Margaret and Joanna Berry.

A homemaker and beautician, she was a member of the Belle Center O.E.S.

Pastor Joe Berry will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 5, 2009, at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty, where friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009.
