Mary Margaret Steggeman

Mary Margaret Steggeman, 74, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy battle with breast cancer Friday, December 17, 2010. She was born January 13, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late John M. and Cleopha (Regensburger) O�Brien. 

On October 11, 1958, she married K.C. Steggeman in Withamsville, Ohio, and he survives along with their children, three daughters, Mary Pat (Brad) Woolf, Theresa (Brant) Dunn both of Bellefontaine, and Susan Marie (Jim) York of Plain City, Ohio; three sons,  Joe (Kelly) Steggeman, Kevin (Karen) Steggeman, both of Bellefontaine, and Mark (Michele) Steggeman of Hilliard, Ohio; a brother, Eugene (Judy) O�Brien of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Eileen Ann (Dave) Wetzel of Decatur, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Thomas O�Brien and two grandchildren. 

Mary worked twenty years for the Bellefontaine City Schools as a custodian at the board office. She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine, the St. Theresa�s Study Club, Bellefontaine American Legion Auxiliary, B.P.O.E. # 132 Lady Elks, and the Lady of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

Calling hours are Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 2 to 6 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. The Rosary will be held at 5:45 P.M. Rev. Patrick F. Sheridan will officiate the 11:00 A.M. funeral mass Monday, December 20, 2010 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine. Interment will follow the mass in the Calvary Cemetery in Bellefontaine.
