Mary Vaughn Smith, 99, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away at 12:10 A.M. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty. She was born in West Liberty September 15, 1911, to the late John I. and Anna Katherine Yoder. On June 10, 1935, she married Dode M. Smith, and he preceded her in death September 26, 1996.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn Ann; two sisters, Marjorie Rohrer and Luella Ulrich; and two brothers, Dwight and Wayne Yoder. 

Survivors include a sister, Wilma Yoder of West Liberty; two brothers, John Mark Yoder of Denver, Colorado and Gail Yoder of West Liberty; and many nieces and nephews.

A member of the South Union Mennonite Church in West Liberty, she worked as an industrial nurse in Lima, at the Ottawa Valley Hospital and as a private nurse.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
