Michael P. �Mike� Beelman

Michael P. �Mike� Beelman, 68, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011, at home following a long ten year battle with cancer. Born in Bellefontaine July 1, 1942 to the late William and Harriett Beelman, Mike was preceded in death by brothers Frederick, Bill, Ralph, and a sister, Mary Ann Gadd. 

On March 17, 1962, he married the former Janet Williams in Tazwell, Virginia, and she survives along with a son Jeffrey (Dawn) Beelman of DeGraff, Ohio; a daughter, Kimberly Trabert and a granddaughter Nicole Trabert, both of Troy, Ohio. Also surviving are sisters Carolyn Uchikura of Hayword, California, Kathryn (Ken) Means of The Woodlands, Texas, Wilma Beelman, Isabel (Larry Kelly) Tracy, all of McArthur, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Darlene (Bill) Beelman of Bokeelia, Florida; sister-in-law Nancy (Ralph) Beelman of Kenneth City, Florida, and several nieces and nephews, and his little dog Kati. 

Mike graduated from Belle Center High School in 1961. He owned and operated Beelman�s Glass & Aluminum for thirty three years, which he loved. Mike was an avid hunter, fisherman and mushroom hunter. He was an honorary co-chair of Logan County Relay for Life. Mike touched many lives through his courageous battle with cancer. 

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, March 3, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine, with interment to follow the service in the Calvary Cemetery in Bellefontaine. Calling hours will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M.
