Mildred Early Paxton, 97, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, died Saturday, September 27, 2008, in the Green Hills Retirement Community, West Liberty, Ohio. She was born in Logan County on April 1, 1911, a daughter of the late William H. and Adda May Miller Early.

She married William G. Paxton in Columbus, Ohio, and he died in July 1971. She also was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Karl and Edwin Early; and sisters, Mary Ruth Hostetler, Edna Deisher, Bertha Early and Esther Early. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was the owner of Admiration Beauty Salon in Columbus, Ohio, and retired in 1970. She was a member of the Stony Creek Church of the Brethren and the Friendly Senior Citizens, and was a former member of the Rushsylvania Garden Club.

Pastor Robert Kilgore will conduct a graveside service at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2008, in the Huber Cemetery DeGraff, Ohio. No calling hours are planned.
