Nan Elizabeth Meredith

Nan Elizabeth Meredith, 90, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, May 22, 2009, at the Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. She was born in Bellefontaine on September 9, 1918, a daughter of the late George W. and Susan A. Demory Harnish.

On June 4, 1938, she married Emery �Louie� Meredith in Toledo, Ohio, and he survives. Louie and Nan were married 70 years. Other survivors include a son, George E. (Marsha) Meredith of Perrysburg, Ohio; a daughter, Karen Sue Cole of Bellefontaine; grandchildren Robert (Diania) Meredith, Scott (Lisa) Meredith, Todd (Sandy) Meredith, Brent (Kelly) Meredith and Shawn (Heather) Cole; twelve great grandchildren; and two nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Harnish; a sister, Francis Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Lindsay Meredith.

A 1936 Bellefontaine High School graduate, Nan worked for Dr. Douglas Beach of Bellefontaine for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking, playing cards and traveling with her husband. Nan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved taking care of her home and spending time with her family.

Pastors Edwin Beale and Walt Mansfield will conduct the funeral service at 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are Monday, May 25, 2009, from 3 to 6 P.M., and one hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment is in Highland Memorial Gardens in West Liberty, Ohio, following the funeral service.
