Patricia Ann Tevis

Patricia Ann Tevis, 49, of Pickrelltown, Ohio, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 27, 2008. She was born December 12, 1958, the loving daughter of Edward David and Anna Gertrude Wilds Gompf of Marion. Survivors include her devoted husband of 25 years, Daniel Harold Tevis, whom she married on June 27, 1983; one hardworking son, Justin David Tevis of Pickrelltown; sister, Donna Jean Fridley of Marysville; brothers, Daniel Edward (Leah) Gompf of Yellow Springs and Ronald Allen (Laura) Gompf of Marion. She also will be missed by her seven nieces and one nephew, as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her oldest siblings, Jean Anna and William Gompf.

She graduated from River Valley School System in Caledonia in 1977. Her favorite subject was home economics and she loved lunch period, where they played cards, Ping-Pong, basketball and did word search puzzles. In her younger years, she attended Windfall St. John�s Lutheran Church in Caledonia. She was a member of the Monroe Community Church in Pickrelltown, where she was a former board member and sang in the choir. With great faith in her Lord, she loved to read the Bible as well as other books. She also enjoyed working at Hills Department Store in Marion, Logan Acres and most recently at the Bellefontaine Wal-Mart Supercenter. She loved nature, flower and vegetable gardening, poetry, visiting with family and friends and collecting bunny rabbits.

Pastor Charles Runion will conduct the a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008, at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty, where calling hours are three hours prior to the service. Burial is in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and to the Monroe Community Church in Pickrelltown.
