Phillip Carl Ball

 

Phillip Carl Ball, 68, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at his residence. He was in born in Logan County Ohio, on July 19, 1940, to the late Michael Marion and Ida Mae (Benchoff) Ball. 

On September 11, 1964, he married Darlene �Sue� Porter in Zanesfield, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving is a son, Phillip (April) Ball Jr. of New Carlisle, Ohio; daughters, Debbie Helmandollar and Candy (Paul) Powell both of Bellefontaine, and Vicki (Tim) Spring of Lakeview, Ohio; a step-daughter, Kim Minor of Idaho; brothers, Joe (Sue) Ball of Beavercreek, Ohio, Robert (Sylvia) Ball of Purvis, Mississippi, Frank (Bonnie) Ball of Marysville, Ohio, and David (Faye) Ball of West Liberty, Ohio; sisters, Alice Dye of Tucson, Arizona, Nancy (Bill) Webber of Rockville, Maryland, Betty (Richard) Toomey of Piqua, Ohio, and Mary (Dan) Addington of Marysville, Ohio; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two half brothers, Jack Parks and Marion Michael Ball.

A construction worker for Local # 216 in Springfield, Ohio, Phillip was in the National Guard.

Rev. A. W. Purdin will conduct the funeral service at 7:30 P.M. on Friday, July 3, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours will be before the service from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, in the Huntsville Cemetery Huntsville, Ohio.
