Phyllis A. McDaniel

Phyllis A. McDaniel, 83, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. She was born January 17, 1927 in Bellefontaine to the late Presley L. and Gwendolyn (Clarke) Wingo. 

She married Belton Leroy McDaniel in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death December 2, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta Moore, one brother and three sisters. 

Surviving are her sons, Thomas Bethel and Richard (Deb) McDaniel both of Bellefontaine; daughters, Margaret �Peggy� Roberts of Bellefontaine and Alice (Art) Harrell of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, William (Virginia) Wingo of New Jersey; thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A homemaker, Phyllis served twenty five years as director for the Tri-County Community Action Center. She was a member and missionary for the Grace A.M.E. Church and served on numerous boards within the Logan County community. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of others. 

Calling hours are Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Rev. J.D. Grisby will officiate the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 11, 2010 at the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
