Phyllis Ann Henry

Phyllis Ann Henry, 82, formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Maison Aine� Care Center in Stow, Ohio, where she had recently moved to be near her family. Phyllis was born January 13, 1928 in Logan County and is the daughter of the late Ralph O. and Edythe (Friend) Henry and was preceded in death by her brothers, Nolan, Donald, Carl and her sister Alfreda(Henry) Payne. She was also preceded in death by her companion of many years, Robert Morris. 

Phyllis is survived by her sister Alberta (Henry) Jacobs of Wadsworth, Ohio, nieces, Judy (Oscar) Mifsud of Wadsworth; Lynn Henry of Tigard, Oregon, and Cindy Henry of Peoria, Illinois and nephews Jeff (Mary Anne) Jacobs of Columbia, South Carolina and Mark (Linda) Henry of Peoria, Illinois, as well as numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews and other relatives around Logan County. All of her family and friends will miss her fun-loving spirit and sense of humor.

A lifelong resident of Logan County, Phyllis attended Zanesfield School and graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1949.

Phyllis held many jobs during her lifetime in Bellefontaine and was employed by Murphy�s, Merchants Industries, Wendy�s and Bob Evans. She also was a school crossing guard for several years. Phyllis had a passion for bowling and won many awards and trophies over her 50+ years on various bowling leagues. She also was a great fan of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team and a lover of all things Mickey Mouse.

Phyllis was a lifelong member of the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine where she served as Sunday School Secretary for many years and also was a member of the choir. Her church was very important part of her life.

Phyllis�s family would like to thank all of the medical professionals and care givers who have been so caring and helpful during the final years of Phyllis�s life. 

Calling hours are Monday, May 31, 2010 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Pastor Jonathon Bull will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A, M, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
