Richard L. Fout, 78, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Saturday evening, July 30, 2011, at Heartland Care Center in Bellefontaine. Richard was born in Bellefontaine February 27, 1933, to the late Carey Ely and Mabel Reames Fout. He was also preceded in death by his wife Doris Reeder Fout, two brothers, four sisters, granddaughters, Jenny Fout and Ashley Campbell, and an extended family member, Paul Gibson. 

Richard worked as a carpenter and enjoyed fishing.

Richard is survived by his sons Richard Fout, Jr. of Arizona, Bruce (Pamela) Fout of DeGraff, Ohio, Kurt (Cindy) Fout of Bloom Center, Ohio, and Ken (Terri) Campbell of Radnor, Ohio; a daughter, Pam (Dan) Cramer of Marysville, Ohio; his longtime companion, Betty Gibson of Bellefontaine; extended family Curt (Mollie) Gibson of Bellefontaine, and Liz Parker of Bellefontaine; numerous grandchildren including Cory Fout, Brittian (John) Hunkler, Nick Fout, Beth (Will) Millis, Katie Fout, Jim Gibson, Angie Downing, C.J. Gibson, Candy Lavender and Niki Parker; fourteen great-grandchildren and a brother, Jimmy Fout of Michigan.

The funeral service will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Brad Angus officiating. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio. Calling hours are Tuesday, August 2, 2011, from 6 to 8 P.M.
