Richard �Dick� Lee Robinson

Richard �Dick� Lee Robinson, 73, of West Liberty, Ohio passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Dick was born in Champaign County Ohio January 17, 1938, to the late Forrest and Maxine Riddle Robinson. 

On April 2, 1971 he married Kathleen �Kate� Schafer Robinson in Richmond, Indiana who survives. Also surviving are sons; Richie (Michelle) Robinson of Bellefontaine, Ohio, David (Debra) Hess of Ridgeway, Ohio, Danny (Sally) Hess of Toledo, Ohio, Dennis (Jill) Hess of Punta Gorda, Florida; daughters Dianne Matthews of West Liberty and Deena (Larry) Pearson of West Liberty; fourteen grandchildren, Payton, Makenzie, Sherri, Darin, Doug, Zack, Gabe, Chad, Chase, Amanda, Brittanie, Abigail, Tyler and Kylee; two great grandchildren, Rylynn and Addisyn; three sisters, Doris Inskeep and Linda (Tom) Adams, both of Urbana, Ohio and Valerie (John) Ormsbee of West Liberty; several loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Janet Robinson.

Dick worked as a machine repairman for Siemens in Urbana and retired 1991. Dick and Kate owned and operated the West Liberty Market and the Victorian Boutique. He enjoyed remodeling houses with Richie, spending time at the campground with David, and deer hunting with his nephew Tim, and Dick and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Urbana and the Eagles Lodge in Bellefontaine. Dick also served as a union representative for Local Union # 1740 for nine years. He was a heart transplant recipient in 1991, and was proud to have lived twenty years following the surgery.

The funeral service will be held at 6 P.M. Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty with Pastor Bryan Meadows officiating. There will be two hours of visitation prior to the service starting at 4 P.M.
