Robert C. Ammons
Robert C. Ammons, 92, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Green Hills Inn in West Liberty. He was born in West Virginia October 20, 1918, a son of the late Steven and Minnie Alice (Henderson) Ammons. He also was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and a son-in-law, Eugene Robinson. On August 17, 1937 in Lakeview, Ohio he married the former Elizabeth Jane Kennedy, and she survives along with a daughter, Jane Robinson of Bellefontaine, Ohio; a son, Bob (Brenda) Ammons of Huntsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Kevin, Dee Dee, Jeff & Joy; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Miracle of West Liberty and numerous nieces and nephews. He retired from the State of Ohio Department of Natural Resources and attended the First Church of God in Bellefontaine. He enjoyed doing crafts, remodeling homes and getting his grandkids �stirred-up�, then sending them home. He also enjoyed traveling, having spent eighteen winters in Florida and was well known for his jokes. Pastor Ray Headings will conduct the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center, where friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service. Interment will take place at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center, Ohio.
