Robert C. Marmon Sr.

    

Robert C. Marmon Sr., 62, of Huntsville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2009, at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  He was born on January 17, 1946, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to Dolores I. Reams Marmon, who survives in West Liberty, Ohio, and the late Byron C. Marmon. 

On June 14, 1966, he married Janet Mae Chesshir in Bellefontaine, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on November 23, 2006.  He is also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Marmon.

He is survived by sons, Robert C. Marmon Jr. of Sidney, Ohio, and Wesley (Michelle) Marmon of Lima, Ohio; daughters, Theresa (Patrick) Cochenour of Huntsville and Angela (Trever) Minton of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama; brothers, John F. (Fontella) Marmon of West Liberty, and Richard (Janice) Marmon of Bradenton, Florida; sister, Marilyn (Larry) Sparks of Clifton, Virginia; and 10 grandchildren.

A Navy veteran, serving in the Vietnam War, he was a member of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church in Bellefontaine and an avid Ohio State Buckeye Football fan.  He had worked for Honda of America since 1989.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 14, 2009, from 2 to 4 PM,  and 6 to 8 PM, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.  Pastor Chuck Temple will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church, with burial to follow at the Huntsville Cemetery.
