Robert Harold Liles

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Liles

Robert Harold Liles, 90, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2009, at the Green Hills Center in West Liberty, Ohio. Bob was born on December 21, 1918 in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Clyde and Ruth (Wolfley) Liles.

On January 30, 1944, 65 years ago, he married Margaret Grace Albers in Loveland, Colorado, and she survives. Also surviving is a son, Gary (Shirley) Liles of Cleves, Ohio; 4 daughters, Sue Ann (Mike) Wittman of Tiffin, Ohio, Tamara (Lou Treglia) Liles of Belle Center, Lisa (Chuck) Rodenfels of Caldwell, Ohio, and Mary (Brian) Tuffin of Pembroke Pines, Florida; and 5 grandchildren, Maya, Jada & Ian Tuffin and Todd & Kevin Wittman.

He was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church. Bob first worked at the Belle Center Creamery and was a mechanic for Millisor�s Chevrolet and worked for Bob Smith at the Sohio Gas Station in Belle Center. Bob enjoyed working on cars and was the person everyone went to for advice and problems on their cars. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also a devoted caregiver to the elderly.

Rev. Philip H. Pockras will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center, where calling hours are from 5 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Burial will be in the Grove Cemetery in Kenton, Ohio, with the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard conducting the military service.
