| Robert L. Stahler Robert L. Stahler, 82, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. He was born March 16, 1928 in Bellefontaine, to the late Norman L. �Ben� and Marjorie Elizabeth (Weeks) Stahler. He is survived by his wife, Wanda L. (Marquis) Stahler, whom he married December 20, 1953 in Hanoverton, Ohio. Also surviving are three children, Jeffrey �Jeff� (Jeani) Stahler of Columbus, Ohio, Robyn (Andrew) Wunderle and R. Benjamin �Ben� (Sara) Stahler both of Bellefontaine; and eight grandchildren, Maggie and Alex (Vanessa) Stahler, Nik, Tyler and Adam Wunderle, and Lauren (Mike) Burkhardt, Jennifer and Rob Stahler. A sister, R. Jane Miller, preceded him in death. Bob was a 1946 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and graduated from the College of Pharmacy of Ohio Northern University in 1950. He was a member of Kappa Psi Fraternity. Following graduation, he served with the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and served as a pharmacist aboard the re-commissioned USS Hornet. He was a co-partner of Burton & Stahler Family Pharmacy until his retirement in 1993. He started working for Merrill Insley as a stock boy during his high school years and continued working throughout his college years at Insley�s Pharmacy. He had a close association with this community which meant a lot to him. Robert was a lifetime member of the Episcopal Holy Trinity Church in Bellefontaine. He served twenty four years with the County Election Board and served the Logan County Democratic party in several capacities. He was a Past President of the Bellefontaine City Council, Charter President of the Bellefontaine Jaycees, a member of the Elks Lodge, past member of the American Legion in Bellefontaine, and a member of Symposiarchs, and for the past fifty years was a member of the Young Men�s Bridge Club. He also was a member of the Logan County Duplicate Bridge Club where he was recognized by the A.C.B.L. as a Golden Age Master of contract bridge. An avid fisherman, and he and his wife enjoyed many years of walking on the beach at Siesta Key. Rev. Tim West and Gene Marine will officiate a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where friends may call from noon to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will be held at a later date in the Bellefontaine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Episcopal Holy Trinity Church 240 E. Sandusky Ave. Bellefontaine, OH 43311
