Ronald C. George

Ronald C. George, 76, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 9:22 A.M. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in Bellefontaine. He was born in Bellefontaine November 11, 1934, to the late James W. and Alberta Carter George. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy George; a sister-in-law, Barbara George and his step-mother, Margaret George.

On February 8, 1995 in Bellefontaine he married the former Elfriede Konz and she survives along with sons, Edward (Bonnie) Lyburtus of Springfield, Ohio, James B. George of California; daughter, Denise Bailey of Springfield; a brother, Raymond E. George I of Bellefontaine; step-sister, Allison (Steve) Norris of Bellefontaine; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many many friends.

He worked for forty nine years with the Logan County Highway Department where he was road superintendent for the last ten years. He was a member of the Auburn Avenue Baptist Church in Bellefontaine where he was a member of the Men�s Chorus and God�s Children. He loved fishing, especially walleye, with his fishing buddy, Clinton Mitchell. He was an avid fundraiser for the American Heart Association.

Rev. Frank McCullough will conduct the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 8, 2011, at the Christ Our King Church in Bellefontaine. Calling hours will be Friday, January 7, 2011 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Bellefontaine Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
