Ronald L. Ringler, 72, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, on Thursday, June 11, 2009. He was born on November 4, 1936, in Bellefontaine, to the late Lewis and Jennie J. (DeLaughder) Ringler.

On February 2, 1962, he married Brigitte R. (Johl) Ringler in Munich, Germany, and she survives. He is also survived by his two daughters, Christina (Jeff) Kiker of Spencer, North Carolina, and Jennie K. Ringler of Bellefontaine; a granddaughter, Chasity Kiker of China Grove, North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Creola Ringler of Springboro, Ohio, and Ann Ringler of Rocky River, Ohio; and seven nephews.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Lewis Jr. and Douglas Ringler, and a sister, Marcella Roby.

A United States Army veteran, Ron worked thirty years for Westinghouse, and retired in 1986. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 173 and was an avid hunter.

Calling hours are Tuesday, June 16, 2009, from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where the funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Burial will follow the funeral serrvice in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio, with military honors by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Logan County Cancer Society  205 Palmer Avenue  Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
