Ronald Wayne LeVan, Sr.

Ronald Wayne LeVan, Sr., 66, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at his residence on Sunday, June 7, 2009. He was born on December 14, 1942, in North Greenfield, Ohio, to Elmer and Vivian (Allen) LeVan.

On November 24, 1994, he married Cathy Wren in Bellefontaine, and she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Vivian, of Bellefontaine; sons, Ronald (Tara) LeVan, Jr., Dwayne (Joanne) LeVan, Darin (Megan) LeVan all of Bellefontaine, Ryan (Jaymie) LeVan of Pensacola, Florida, and Dean (Amy) LeVan of West Liberty, Ohio; a daughter, Denise Houser of Bellefontaine; step-sons, Mark (Tess) Losey of Columbus, Ohio, and Matt (Libby) Losey of Bellefontaine; a step-daughter, Deanne (David) LaRoche of Bellefontaine; brothers, Raymond (Cindi) LeVan of West Liberty; sisters, Linda Botkin, Sherry (Richard) Smith and Tamara (David) Gump, all of Bellefontaine; and fifteen grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his father Elmer, and a brother, Todd Alan LeVan. 

A car enthusiast, Ron worked for Conrail and was a Vietnam veteran serving in the United States Air Force. 

Pastor Mark Smith will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, June 10, 2009.  Burial will follow the funeral service in the North Greenfield Cemetery, with a Military service by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.

The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to  Universal Home Health Hospice  701 South Main Street  Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
