Ruth I. Boggs, 75, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at her residence Monday, September 27, 2010. She was born July 5, 1935 in Zanesfield, Ohio, to the late Clifford and Laura (LeVan) Chamberlain. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Russell and Rick Boggs; a daughter, Brenda Sue Boggs; and a brother, Milo Chamberlain. 

She is survived by her husband, Ivan, whom she married May 16, 1953 in Richmond, Indiana. Also surviving is a son, Jess Boggs of Bellefontaine; adopted daughters, April Holmes of Delaware, Ohio, and Carrie Kerns of DeGraff, Ohio; brothers, Donald (Joyce) Chamberlain of Rosewood, Ohio, Jim (Carolyn) Chamberlain of DeGraff, Larry Chamberlain and Richard (Edna) Chamberlain of DeGraff; sisters, Betty Kuntz of Bellefontaine, Eunice (Vernon) Boggs of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Rita (William) Rowe of Rushsylvania, Ohio, Sharon (Dean) Fuer of Beverly, Ohio, and Kathy (Doug) Clark of Bellefontaine; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Ruth, a homemaker, attended the New Salem Lutheran Church and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  She also was a collector of dolls. 

Calling hours will be Friday, October 1, 2010, from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where Daniel Holmes will officiate at the funeral service Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow the funeral service in the New Salem Cemetery.
